We are the parents of two great children, a  wonderful teenage daughter and a terrific 10 year old son diagnosed with Autism.  In talking to friends and family over the years we realized many of them had questions about Autism as they tried to understand this disorder. Also, we discovered that there are many people in our communities and cities who are not really aware of what it really is. We knew that there was much information online but it seemed to us that most of the people we knew really had little to no idea about Autism. So we created this website with a 3-fold goal in mind:

1 - To inform and empower parents, families and friends to be the best advocates for their children, grandchildren, etc..
2 - To raise Autism Awareness by providing information and support.
3 - To provide a personal perspective by both sharing information like weblinks, articles, news, resources, etc. that have been helpful to us and by giving our personal story.

Autism is a reality we live every day. It's a lot of work every day. It takes tremendous patience and understanding every day. It involves our whole family every day. But you won't find any 'doom and gloom' here. We are big believers in a positive approach to every day. We see our son with unlimited potential every day. We see him with challenges rather than weaknesses. We see him with goals rather than limits. We focus on what he can do while we work on what he can't do. "We nurture his needs while we're planting the seeds"

"Now we know there's so many more
That need our help to win this war.
And who knows what might lay in store
To help them make it through.
Yes, who knows what might lay in store.
The Missing piece is me and you."
